Graduated from the Faculty of Law, Kyoto University in 2010, and passed the conventional National Bar Examination with the highest score in the written exam nationwide. Registered as a lawyer in 2012 (Daini Tokyo Bar Association). Joined Mori Hamada & Matsumoto in 2013, and in 2017 co-founded ZeLo and LegalForce, Inc. (now LegalOn Technologies, Inc.), where he currently serves as CEO. His main practice areas include litigation and dispute resolution, M&A, and corporate governance-related matters.

Representative Works

  • Provided strategic advice for a complex shareholder dispute of a privately held company and obtained a favorable result for the client.
  • Acted in a number of M&A matters, with deal-values ranging up to 100 billion yen. Representative matters have involved initial planning, legal due diligence, deal structuring, contract negotiation and closing.
  • Acted in various matters relating to corporate governance in both publicly traded and privately held companies.
  • Founded LegalForce, a company that developed Japan's first contract review support software, and ZeLo, a foreign law joint enterprise, to improve of the productivity of the entire legal industry and the quality of legal services.
